Michalis is an Associate in the firm’s Shipping Department, with a principal focus on shipping and maritime matters.
He handles a range of shipping transactions and related legal matters, including vessel sale and purchase transactions, vessel registrations, corporate structures related to vessel ownership and operation and other commercial aspects of shipping work. Michalis also assists with corporate and company formation matters arising in the context of shipping transactions.
Before joining Chrysses Demetriades & Co LLC, Michalis worked as a paralegal in the United Kingdom, where he gained hands-on experience in several areas of law, spanning real estate, conveyancing, and corporate matters. His work involved assisting with property transactions, reviewing and preparing transaction documentation, liaising with clients and handling matters relating to company formations and general corporate administration.
This broader commercial and transactional background complements his current shipping practice and provides a practical understanding of the corporate and property-related issues that often arise alongside maritime transactions.
